BAFTAs Awards on February 16, 2025

• "Conclave": This film emerged as a significant winner, securing four awards, including Best Film and Outstanding British Film. Directed by Edward Berger, "Conclave" delves into the intricate politics of a papal election. 

• "The Brutalist": Also receiving four awards, this film earned accolades for Best Director (Brady Corbet), Best Leading Actor (Adrien Brody), Best Cinematography, and Best Original Score. The movie explores the life of visionary architect László Tóth. 

• Mikey Madison: She won Best Leading Actress for her role in "Anora," portraying a complex character in a narrative that has captivated audiences. 

• Zoe Saldaña: Awarded Best Supporting Actress for her performance in "Emilia Pérez," a Spanish-language musical crime film that also won Best Film Not in the English Language. 

• Kieran Culkin: He received Best Supporting Actor for his role in "A Real Pain," a film that also won Best Original Screenplay, penned by Jesse Eisenberg. 

Notable Highlights:

• "Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl": This animated feature won Best Animated Film and the inaugural Best Children's & Family Film award, marking a celebrated return for the beloved duo. 

• Warwick Davis: The esteemed actor was honored with the BAFTA Fellowship, recognizing his outstanding contribution to cinema and his advocacy for representation in the industry. 

• David Jonsson: He won the EE Rising Star Award, the only category voted for by the public, highlighting his impressive emergence in the film industry. 

The ceremony featured a performance by Take That, who delivered "Greatest Day," a song featured in the film "Anora." Additionally, Jeff Goldblum provided a heartfelt piano tribute during the In Memoriam segment, honoring industry figures who passed away in the last year.
