NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore, Sunita "Suni" Williams, and Nick Hague, along with Roscosmos cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov, recently returned to Earth aboard a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft. This mission, known as Crew-9, concluded on March 18, 2025, with a successful splashdown in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Tallahassee, Florida, at 5:57 p.m. EDT (2157 GMT). The crew had been aboard the International Space Station (ISS) for an extended period, with Wilmore and Williams spending over nine months in space—far longer than their originally planned eight-day test mission—due to issues with Boeing's Starliner spacecraft, which forced NASA to arrange their return via SpaceX. The Dragon spacecraft, named "Freedom," undocked from the ISS at 1:05 a.m. EDT on March 18, completing a 17-hour journey back to Earth. After splashing down under parachutes, recovery teams assisted the astronauts out of the capsule, a standard procedure following long-duration missions as their ...

NASA and SpaceX successfully launched the Crew-10 mission to the International Space Station (ISS) on March 14, 2025, at 7:03 p.m. EDT. The mission lifted off from Launch Complex 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida.  The Crew-10 mission comprises four astronauts: NASA's Anne McClain and Nichole Ayers, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency's Takuya Onishi, and Roscosmos' Kirill Peskov. They are scheduled to dock with the ISS on March 15, 2025, at approximately 1:05 a.m. EDT. The Dragon Endurance spacecraft, used for this mission, successfully docked with the ISS, paving the way for the return of the stranded astronauts later this month. This mission is particularly significant as it facilitates the return of NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams, who have been aboard the ISS since June 2024. Their return was delayed due to technical issues with Boeing's Starliner spacecraft.  For those interested in upcoming launches, SpaceX plans to launch a batch o...

As of February 11, 2025, SpaceX has recently conducted a rocket launch from Vandenberg Space Force Base in Southern California. On February 10, 2025, at 6:09 PM PST, a Falcon 9 rocket successfully deployed 23 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit. This launch was visible across various parts of Southern California, including areas like 4S Ranch in San Diego and Bakersfield.  Looking ahead, SpaceX has scheduled another launch from Vandenberg Space Force Base on February 17, 2025. This mission, designated NROL-57, involves a Falcon 9 Block 5 rocket carrying a reconnaissance satellite constellation for the National Reconnaissance Office. The exact launch time is yet to be confirmed.
